well I've had my MAC for almost a month now and I'm pretty much converted I received my Education edition of Photoshop last week and it didn't take me a day to realized that CS3 is drastically different that CS2...Time to start learning again (not that that is a bad thing)...Thankfully it comes with video workshop I'm about half way through it, funny thing It's kindled an enjoyment to learn again...I picked up Adobe's Classroom in a book...and am beginning it as soon as I finish the workshop. I'm really enjoying learning again, I guess I really am ready for a change
The funny thing is I retire next year and thanks to Jim Webb I have a very lucrative GI Bill fund returning to school, I'm still not sure I'm going to do it but if my wife gets the promotion she wants the GI Bill and my retirement should allow me to go back to school instead of going to work immediately. What's new for me is how much I am actually looking forward to the idea of school plus the irony of possibly graduating from the University I was tossed out of for spending too much time not attending class because it wasn't what I wanted to do it was just what I thought was expected of me, which is the reason I ended up in the Navy in the first place...If I do go back to school I know what I want to do and plan on treating just like a job, albeit a really enjoyable job but a job none the less.

absolutely, my only realy worry is that I want my degree in Art, photgraphy/graphics being the majority of what I want to study. The thing I noticed is that URI still does it's 100/200 level photography with film something I haven't cared to touch in a while...hopefully I'll get credet for Navy experience (probable) and not have to deal with film, yes I know I'm spoiled but at this point I prefer digital

Many things, probably starting with philosophy and history. Those felt shortchanged in my college education. If I had the physics background, I'd love to dig deeper into astronomy too.
What would you study again? Perhaps this is better asked in TC.

Last day skateboarding of 2007
OK I admit that a 41 year old man finding a day of enjoyment skateboarding might sound strange but I find it centers me and provides a source of exercise that I can't find else ware. That said I spent the day working on my tuck, downhilling in a nearby neighborhood. I lost count of the number of times I went down the half mile hill my legs are feeling the hike back up (gotta earn those runs) so I'm gonna guess more than 20 times and I know I listened to at least 6 hours of music on my Ipod. OK I have what is called closed angles in my eye's which although I have no symptoms is considered a precursor to glaucoma...I've known this for a couple of years and since my maternal grandfather had glaucoma and my father has the same problem with his eyes I've really just been putting off having corrective surgery since I returned from Japan 2 years ago. What this means is that the eye's drains which are behind the iris are not as open as they should be which can lead to increased fluid pressure in the eye and posible damage to the optic nerve, or so they tell me. Same here. I skipped too much class in college to stay home and work on my web site, and now those skills have given me a career... but if I were to come into enough money that I wouldn't have to work any more, I'd feel inclined to go back to college just for the sake of learning. If youth is wasted on the young, so is university.
