My wife has been bugging me lately about the amount of time I spend on the computer. She claims she's merely trying to restore my perspective. Fine. So, after 126 consecutive days, the daily blog format will become (at best) a weekly format giving an eclectic mix of the best stuff I encounter in my internet travels. So, here goes. Really cool stuff made from balloons. Some guy fooling around with clouds. Another entry from the They had to have noticed catalogue. Funny response letter from a college professor regarding a test submission. And finally, I'll try to include at least one film clip. This week's clip is a Simpson's couch compilation. Thanks to all who read and reply.

Thanks for so many fun links so far, and the more to come in weekends ahead. :-)

I really like the clouds link. Although the last picture with the can of compressed air is bothersome to me. It's a trigger mechanism and she's holding it like its push button!

It's Not Just Rhetoric

A personal pet peeve of mine is the use of the phrase, "That's just rhetoric." As if the speech being referred to is meaningless and/or uninspiring. The word rhetoric is to be used to define speech designed to persuade. Go »

Like Mother Teresa, Only Better

If you recognize the title of this post, then you are already familiar with Jenny Lawson, aka The Bloggess. I had the opportunity to meet her, briefly, at the Barnes & Noble book signing in Annapolis this weekend. She was larger than life and incredibly funny as she adlibbed before reading a selection from her book, Let's Pretend This Never Happened. Go »

Driftwood

Washed up on the shores of my PC. In the spirit of Monty Python & The Holy Grail intro, "Those responsible for sacking the people who have just been sacked have been sacked," comes this notice. Beautiful pictures of a fairly clever notion, holding the sun. Go »
