Recent conversation with Brenda:

me: I've decided that I'm not going to play that "got your nose" game with our grandkids.

Brenda: Oh, really?

me: Yeah, I'm going to play "got your appendix" instead.

Brenda: There's some logic I'm missing here.

me: With my version, our grandkids can't disprove what I say with a look in the mirror and if I actually get their appendix, there's probably a plus side to that.

Brenda: And to think that most physicians spend years in medical school to accomplish something like that.

me: I'm so ahead of my time.

You could play "got your tonsils" and then take them out for ice cream.

It's The Plumber!

The punchline to the old talking parrot joke recently leaped into my mind. Lauren dropped a lipstick tube down her bathroom sink because it has nothing to cover the drain hole. That thing that goes up and down to close the sink drain isn't part of this particular sink. Go »

Christmas Post #2: I Can See Clearly Now

Some Anniversaries Are More Memorable Than Others

Today is the ninth anniversary of my wedding to my child bride, Brenda. So far so good. Had to call and schedule the plumber because there is water leaking from behind the wall in the bathroom. Go »

Real Baseball

I took the girls to a minor league baseball game last night. It was Autism Awareness night at the Bowie Baysox game which was the incentive for Brenda and I to go. The girls actually enjoyed the game for the first few innings but were more interested in the foods, carousel, moon bounce and face painting. Go »
