Scott Hardie: “It ruled.”

This was much more of a direct sequel to 2011's The Muppets than I expected, such that I missed jokes and didn't recognize recurring characters. But I still enjoyed it, because most of the Muppet humor is based on the simple principle of escalating anarchy: Animal banging on things and Beaker being smashed into things don't really need much context to be funny. Little sight gags buried on the edges of the screen, like the Swedish Chef wearing a black chef's toque to a formal occasion, really add up. I have seen almost none of the other Muppet movies, so I have no idea how this compares, but I laughed plenty.
