Scott Hardie: “It was ok.”
This gory, would-be Se7en clone has plenty of striking photography, which is no surprise since director Jonas Åkerlund has made some great music videos, and Winnipeg in winter is an inspired choice of setting. But those advantages don't begin to make up for its clumsy script, hammy performances, predictable twists, and fundamental immaturity. It fails to transcend its crappy, straight-to-DVD nature, but at least it tries.
